Scholarship Opportunities
Wilderness Alternatives Incorporated (WAI) is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization that provides treatment scholarships to children, adolescents and young adults in crisis and in need of special services. WAI provides its programs through Blackwater Outdoor Experiences, which is an extension of Dr. George Bright’s Adolescent and Family Health Center.
WAI’s scholarship program enables participants lacking the necessary resources to experience outdoor therapeutic programs in a supportive, professional and prescriptive context. Scholarships are allocated on the basis of financial need, without regard for nationality, religion, ethnicity, sex, or creed. Applications for WAI’s scholarship program are available upon request.
